The Multiphase Flow and Mixing Lab of the Department of Industrial Chemistry “Toso Montanari“ at the University of Bologna has recently applied Volumetric Measurement techniques to study mixing processes.
The system installed at the oldest university in the world, uses some of the most modern processing approaches to gain new insights into the complex mixing processes.
Tomographic PTV approaches were used in combination with Physics Informed Interpolation to produce high fidelity results which offer new insights into the mixing phenomena.
The studies will now focus on scaling stirred chemical reactors with the help of Dantec systems.
Did you know DynamicStudio offers advanced methods for Data Assimilation to interpolate your 3D PTV data onto a regular grid, even for 2-Frame PTV?
