Job Title: Sales and Support Engineer
Reports to: Sales Manager

Position Summary
The Sales and Support Engineer is responsible for growing sales and product support of Dantec Dynamics Fluid and Solid products within the UK, Ireland, and South Africa and will support and drive all aspects of the sales process from generating initial interest, right through to commissioning on site any systems sold.

In support of the aforementioned you will be expected to perform product demonstrations, participate and exhibit at conferences and exhibitions as well as provide support with technical advice to our existing customer base.

The Sales and Support Engineer will further promote, plan and execute contract measurements using Dantec’s measurement systems at the customer site or Dantec office.

Lastly, the position will also involve support of the company’s existing customer base with technical advice and provide on-site product service as required. The Sales and Support Engineer will be expected to work from his/her home and the Dantec office in the UK and report to the Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain existing and create new business relationships with academic and industrial customers
• Proactively develop new sales through lead generation and promotional activities
• Address sales enquiries, issue quotations and follow-up in an effort to close sales
• Conduct product demonstrations, if required
• Perform product installations and provide after sales support as required
• Promote and execute contract measurements employing Dantec’s measurement systems
• Actively participate in the strategic planning for support of the UK market
• Stay up to date on the latest market news, and be passionate about providing a high-quality experience for customers with a “Can-Do-Will-Do” attitude in all aspects of Sales, system troubleshooting and customer support
• Be prepared to report activities within an advanced software-based management system
• Other duties as assigned

Experience, Skills and Education
• PhD, MSc with experience in scientific, laser-based measurement systems, preferably with expertise in experimental Fluid and/or Solid Mechanics

Compensation
• Base annual salary dependent on experience
• Bonus scheme – A bonus scheme is in place along with a car allowance and company pension.
