The DualPDA receiving probe contains four receiving apertures integrated into one single optical unit. This novel concept yields a higher measurement accuracy, particularly for spray analysis and other investigations of liquid atomisation.
The DualPDA detector configuration (2 standard and 2 planar), combined with sophisticated validation routines, is not susceptible to unwanted effects resulting from the Gaussian light intensity distribution in the measurement volume. Misinterpreted size measurements due to trajectory effects are therefore eliminated.
The DualPDA provides the same flexibility in configuration as the FiberPDA.
Measurement Principle
PDA measurements are performed on single particles, allowing for detailed analysis of particulate flows.
