FlexPIV TR

A versatile, fully functional time resolved PIV system for measurements in liquids

The FlexPIV TR system is a versatile pre-configured PIV system consisting of a 5W CW laser to illuminate small to medium size fields of view, a sensitive SpeedSense MC321 high speed camera and a bright 35 mm F2.0 lens, offering high frame rates to measure flows up to 2m/s.

The camera is easily connected to the PC via GigE, and, thanks to its pixel pitch of 10 µm, it is for a CMOS camera with a peak QE of 43% very light sensitive for its price point. At the same time for most water flows it avoids peak locking effects. With this set-up, you can reach spatial resolutions below 1 mm.

Another part of the preconfigured bundle is DynamicStudio, which offers total control of the hardware, tools, and features. It provides extensive help and video tutorials to guide you though your first measurements and PIV analysis. It is research proven and has advanced and up-to-date analysis routines for PIV, extensive pre-and post-processing features for plots and visualizations. Data exchange with other tools such as Matlab, Python or TecPlot is easy.
