Dantec proudly introduces the UVP (Ultrasonic Velocity Profiler) system for opaque or transparent liquid flows.
The core component is an ultrasonic transducer, emitting acoustic pulses and receiving the echo from acoustic reflectors in the flow.
The echo is Doppler shifted in frequency, allowing to measure the velocity of the reflector.
The delay between the emitted pulse and the echo depends on the distance from the transducer to the reflector.
The UVP system makes real-time velocity profile measurements by measuring the Doppler shift (velocity) and the delay (position) simultaneously.
