Dantec Dynamics is pleased to announce the release of our of new DAQ (Gen4) series, consisting of the Data Acquisition Controller (DAQ) and the Advanced Data Acquisition Controller (DAQX).
What is the difference, and more importantly, the advantage compared to the DAQ Gen3 portfolio?
Industrial Controller
- Structured & more accessible layout
- camera technology independent
- industrially designed & tested
- portable & easy-to-handle

Analogue Inter-Step Sampling (AISS)
A new feature to the Gen4 DAQ portfolio & Istra4D V4.11 for filtering noisy data, whereby analogue input (AI) values can be scanned (and saved) between successive acquisition frames/steps. AISS can be defined for a selected interval coverage and/or number of sampling values per image.
This gives users the possibility to filter and clean AI data signals for the improvement of measurement data quality & reliability. Additionally, AISS allows users the advantage to select a portion of analogue signals within a step of specific interest (i.e. when the camera shutter is open, which is quite useful for transient testing).

Integrated Analogue Data HDF5 Management
The management of analogue data is completely integrated in Istra4D meaning it can be instantly streamed, viewed & saved together with the measurement image – all in one HDF5 file.
DAQ Gen4 Series Functionality
The DAQ Gen4 has fast acquisition speeds (500 kS/s), a Sync In (SI) used for External Triggering in Periodic & Vibration measurements and a Universal Output (UO) for Strobe (Pulsed) Illumination.
The DAQX Gen4 is very fast (1 MS/s) and has an Analogue Sync Input (ASI) for triggering at Sinusoidal or Pulsed (Peaks & Valleys) for Cyclic & Fatigue Testing.
