The Multichannel CTA offers an efficient and affordable solution for mapping of velocity and turbulence fields in most air flows. Up to 16 points can be monitored simultaneously using probe arrays, both reducing the need of probe traverse movements and allowing measurements based on spatial correlations.

The system combines ease of use with cost-efficient multipoint operation both in the laboratory and in the field. It consists of an instrument frame with six or eight built-in MiniCTA anemometer boards. The 6-channel version includes a system temperature probe as standard, and it can be ordered with a reference velocity transducer for in-situ calibrations.

Two frames can be combined to measure at up to 16 points simultaneously. The Multichannel CTA system can be used with all Dantec Dynamics standard hot-wire and hot-film probes. The decade resistance and the servo-loop have been optimised for hot-wire probes at the factory, whereas hot-film probes require a simple internal adjustment performed by the user.
