We’re excited to announce the release of BSA Flow v8 with many new features and improvements, focusing on ease-of-use and advanced data processing. The new features include:
- New plot types and scaling features
- New online adjustment of velocity range by SHIFT+dragging with the mouse in the online histogram. Zoom out a factor 2 by CTRL+SHIFT+mouse click in the online histogram
- New online adjustment of size validation in PDA:
- In Phase Plot: change the width of the Phase Validation Ratio band by dragging with the mouse
- In Intensity Plot: change the upper and lower slope by dragging with the mouse
- New Binning features for sorting data into user specified bins, followed by data analysis of each bin separately. The binned data can be plotted in the same plot, e.g. histogram, vector plot, xy plot… A great tool for advanced processing of data to better understand the underlying phenomena.
- New statistical filters based on standard deviation (Sigma filter) or quartiles (IQR filter) – great for removing outliers from noisy data
- New software Coincidence method, similar to the Overlap mode in hardware coincidence, but with variable overlap and even the possibility to analyze non-overlapping bursts from e.g. setups with curved windows, where the measurement volumes don’t overlap.
- With this method, you can re-analyze data since the raw data are retained. New software control of FiberFlow shutter. You can now set the shutter of FiberFlow laser to closed, attenuated or open from the software. Useful if your control PC is in a different room than the experiment, and you want to e.g. attenuate the laser before entering the room.
There are several other new features, read more here for LDA, and here for PDA
