In Istra4D V4.11, marker tracking can now be performed using 36 different coded target marker stickers! The software is trained (in advance) to know what to look for. This means that the markers can be distinguished from one another and found through automatic recognition.
The following benefits are available for marker tracking compared to facet/subset tracking;
- High accuracy – The design is both „embedded“ in the software and the center (via the single cross-hair contrast variation) aka. target “bulls-eye” is exact in location.
- Automatic Detection – Istra4D V4.11 knows what to look for and can identify the coded-target based on the outer ring. Users do not need to tell the software where the marker is..
- Greater Ease-of-Use – Users only need to adhere markers to the test object surface, just like a „placing a sticker”, as opposed to applying a speckle pattern to a surface.
- More Robustness – The marker design is clean & rigid and has an intrinsically high contrast allowing for easy identification.
- Faster Correlation – Coded-markers are not “unique” and do not need to be parameterized to a shape function.
